Circle
Delivering a social platform from the ground up
Working within a design team of just 3 people, I helped ship Circle - a pioneering social platform driven by physical interactions. I contributed to most features within this product, from multifaceted content creation flows to establishing visual design systems.

Designing a social platform for real-world connections
In September 2024, we released a line of smart clothing enabling wearers to share moments of their life through a digital platform accessible only to people they meet in person.

Circle, our digital platform, started as just an overarching concept of a digital social presence based on a physical touchpoint. Under technical constraints of a web framework and against a tight timeline, we delivered an experience rivaling native apps with intuitive, robust, and versatile content creation features.
The first wearable social platform
We planned a product ecosystem of two parts: an NFC-embedded clothing line called Core, and a web-based content platform called Circle. Owners of Core clothing could scrapbook their lives on Circle, then grant access to their digital spaces with only people they see in person, by allowing them to tap the NFC tag sewn onto their Core clothing.
Impact - our first large-scale product launch
In 3 months, we successfully launched Core and Circle, along with crafting a curated campaign and opening the company’s first physical store. Circle had a transformative impact, both as a product as well as shaping the company’s strategic direction. Here’s how it performed:
600+
active users
Within 2 weeks, we hit a significant number of active users within the platform, consisting of both Core owners and the people they shared their Circles with.
10x
secondary conversion
On average, each Core owner was responsible for attracting 10 additional people to the platform - a sign of its compelling value to both creators and viewers.
5+
brand partnerships
Core served as a proof of concept that Circle could be applied to B2B use cases. We are talking to brands about scaling Circle to reach their audiences in the hundreds of thousands.
